The main entrance from Barry Street provides a pedestrian link from University Square through to 198 Berkely Street with a centrally located paved courtyard providing a quiet, intimate space for outdoor café seating.

The ground floor and upper ground floors incorporate open public areas rich in amenity with provision for fitout for lecture theatres, meeting rooms and gathering spaces. The upper levels provide an abundance of light and have been fitted out to provide academic accommodation.

The existing terrace houses along the southern end of Barry Street have been retained and the heritage facades restored to enhance the character of the adjoining Carlton area. The dynamic Barry Street façade incorporates glazed screens of differing heights, which overlook the University Square.
