The international head office for Country Road Australia is housed within strong heritage fabric - the shells of the former turbine hall and corrugated iron building of the original power station.

The brick turbine hall has been transformed into a vast display area and the iron building was stripped to its steel frame and clad in stainless steel sheeting. Some 10,000 sqm of office space and facilities is based on an open plan design. This arrangement reflects the operations of the company and their open, relaxed and communicative culture. The result is thoroughly modern and pristine, forming a successful contrast with the industrial aesthetic.

The project received an RAIA (Vic) Award of Merit for New Commercial.
